- When purchasing a new home, Buyers should not rely on the Seller’s current property taxes as the amount of property taxes that the buyer may be obligated to pay in the following year after the purchase. A change of ownership and/or when improvements are made to the home, it may trigger reassessment of the property that could result in higher property taxes. If you have any questions concerning valuation, contact the County Property Appraiser’s Office for information.

All new residential swimming pools, spas, and hot tubs must be equipped with at least one pool safety feature from a list provided by the Department of Health. Contact the Department of Health for specific safety feature requirements.
